How are the products on Antibad Ethical and Sustainable?
Each brand has been carefully selected based on their industry leading Eco-Friendly practice and Fair Trade production meaning that;
Manufacturing processes cause minimal or no harm to the environment.
All products are from brands that ensure fair wages have been paid to the workers and maintain high social and environmental standards.
We also have an additional nine product categories filterable in the shop and labelled under each product. So that you can shop by what matters to you.
High-quality piece, produced in limited quantities, usually made by hand or with traditional methods
A piece whose design, raw material or manufacture is an effective solution to an environmental or humanitarian issue.
A product that has been manufactured from raw material to finished product within one country.
A garment where at least 95% of the raw material has been produced without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial toxic chemicals.
A not-for-profit product that financially aides or promotes an effective solution to an environmental or humanitarian issue.
Recycled or Up-Cycled
A re-worked or new design made from dead-stock fabric or with fibres that have been recycled.
An item that excludes all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals.
A high quality, second hand item.
A piece where all resources have been conserved and recovered during the manufacturing process.

Antibad does not go 'on sale' at the end of the season - Why?
We have carefully chosen each piece and believe in the value of the design and craft of the item. You may see a few items marked with 'on sale' in our store, this is only to align the price with a few of our brand partners website during limited sale periods, these are; Mara Hoffman, Diarte, Under Protection and Samantha Pleet.
At the end of the season we will hold a sample sale on our one set of samples and a few returned items that we aren’t able to re-sell at full price, the link to the sample sale will be sent to our mailing list subscribers only with the discount reason for each item clearly explained.
Product Description Glossary
Oeko Tex 100 Certified
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is the development of scientific test criteria & methods taking account of; Important legal regulations, such as banned Azo colourants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, nickel, etc. As well as numerous harmful chemicals, even if they are not yet legally regulated.
The precondition for the certification of products in accordance with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is that all parts of an article meet the required criteria - in addition to the outer fabric, sewing threads, inserts, prints, buttons, zip fasteners, rivets etc.
Greenpeace Approved DETOX Certified
The detox campaign was launched by Greenpeace to expose the direct links between global clothing brands, their suppliers and toxic water pollution around the world. Focussing on the establishment of a transparent chemical management system, a continuous improvement plan to reduce hazardous substances in the production process and improvement of protective measures for the protection of the environment.
Tencel is a sustainable fabric regenerated from eucalyptus wood cellulose, similar in hand to rayon and bamboo. Tencel is one of the most environmentally friendly regenerated fabrics. Tencel has been given Oeko Tex 100 certification and the European Community Eco-label flower for products and services with reduced environmental impacts.
GOTS Certified (Global Organic Textile Standard)
The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.
When we refer to' deadstock material' it means that the brand sourced and used material that was left over from other brands production lines, making use of textiles that would have otherwise gone to waste.
